I bought myself two projects’ worth of yarn while I was away. I came very close to buying a third, a sweater quantity of Snefug Watercolour (link to Knit Therapy yarn shop in Prague), but in the end they didn’t have enough skeins in the colours I wanted. That’s probably for the best… but also they’re so beautiful and will almost certainly knit up like Drops Air, and I wear my Drops Air cat sweater all the time, it’s so comfy!
Anyway, it wasn’t meant to be just at that moment. And I have no shortage of yarn to be getting on with.

My first purchase is Holst Garn, which i remember almost buying in Amsterdam. This time I took the plunge and got 1400 metres of it in a lovely sea green. I plan to make 5200K (Ravelry link) by SuviKnits (designer’s Insta), though we all know how plans can change as a yarn lies in stash… This pattern has been in my favourites for just over four years. It’s asymmetric with a cute little patch pocket and button embellishments – I keep thinking how cute it would be to replace the buttons with tiny pompoms.

Secondly, I bought two 200m skeins of Jawoll superwash in a gorgeous purple, my favourite colour.
I was thinking about Bohemia socks (Ravelry link), by Katrine Louise Skansberg, with the yarn held double. On further consideration, actually I think that would still be too fine since the pattern calls for DK. So I could try making a larger size (which I would need to figure out myself) or revisit that plan.

Still though, that rich purple is going to be delightful in something.
