Though not for much longer – I’m writing from the departure gate at the airport, and expect to be getting on a plane within the hour.

I’ve been here for four lovely days, bought myself two projects’ worth of wool, seen some of the sights (though not the big clock), and generally had a lovely time.

More about the wool later. For now, here are some highlights of the trip!

I had fried duck liver and hearts on my first night – so good.

Then I went to a bar which a) was on a boat and b) had a beach attached and people were playing volleyball. I had two frozen mango margaritas and they were delicious.

The next day I went on a boat trip, which mostly goes under the King Charles Bridge, so lots of opportunities for photos.

Before we even set off in the boat I was thrilled to see some creatures which I at first thought were chunky otters but turned out to be coypu.

Public transport was outrageously easy. I enjoyed the look of this metro station in particular.

All in all, highly recommend. I brought my current knitting project with me and did zero knitting. So the yarn has had a holiday too.

What a fabulous trip! Those skies… oh my! Gorgeous! I think the best trips ever are the ones where not a lick of knitting gets done! Safe travels home! XO
