I made more grumpy frogs!

George II, the green and yellow guy, is going to live with my sister, as Original George got lost – or, as we’ve decided, went on an adventure and is now living with someone new who loves him so much.

George II is made with DK cotton and 3mm needles. I think he used 12g of the main color, but my record keeping may be faulty… Julius, the blue frog, is a light DK (sport maybe?) cotton, using 2.5mm needles. They both have safety eyes instead of beads and I really like them, though I’m not convinced they’re placed exactly right.

The pattern calls for the eyes to point sideways, but I’ve put them facing forward. I think this contributes to the leg of grump and excess of cute.

They’re both living on our bookshelf right now, sitting on a vintage piece of camera kit belonging to G’s grandfather. G is a photographer and it’s so nice that they have a family heirloom connecting that talent back a couple of generations.

They look like the best of friends sitting there!

I’ve added this post to the Unraveled Wednesday linkup, with thanks to Kat for hosting.

I love your story of how Original George came to be missing!! The new frogs are adorable! (and I think your eye placement is perfect!)
