This is one of those projects where there isn’t much to show, but progress is being made nonetheless. I had put it to the side while I worked on my first Affirmation Scarf pattern. I’ve been procrastinating on that – I’ve cast on and knit the first row in double knitting. It’s gonna take a long time to finish…

I had it in mind that I might want to take this shawl to Prague with me at the end of the month, instead of a coat. For whatever reason, I have it in my head that the weather in Prague will be much warmer than in Glasgow. I have done no research to verify this.
I went and looked, between paragraphs, and the current forecast while I’m there is cloudy with showers. So probably jacket and hood after all…
Anyway I’m not sure that I’ll get to the end of the shawl in time for my trip (in just under two weeks) but nonetheless it is progessing, as knitting always does when you spend any time on it.

It feels like I’m going to have lots of yarn left. I will make an assessment once I reach the end of the pattern as to whether making it bigger would be good, or result in a blanket that is completely impractical for wearing. The pictures show a generous shawl so I suspect the latter.
