So listen… I’m usually good at sums. Honestly. But when I did the maths on how much yarn I would need to complete this jumper I was absolutely, categorically wrong.
I did think it didn’t *look* like enough but I’ve never been good at eyeballing yarn like that so mistrusted the evidence of my senses. Which as we all know is a mistake.
Anyway! Not a problem, I got a voucher for Wool Warehouse at Christmas and used a small amount of it to buy two more skeins of yarn. The dye lot is different, of course – it’s been five years or so, I couldn’t expect to get a match. We’ll just have to wait and see how different it is!

I’ve finished the side, so just a sleeve to go. If the dye lot is radically different I’m considering a rainbow sleeve? I have lots of partial skeins in DK cotton so that might work.
I haven’t been timing my work on this but have been picking it up consistently. Once the sleeve is done, I just need to seam it and do the final ends. I’ve done all the rest of the ends while waiting for the additional yarn to arrive so that’s a gift to future me.
I’ve added this post to the Unraveled Wednesday linkup, with thanks to Kat for hosting.
