Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four

Céleste is blocked and… improved. But I’m still not speaking to her.

Before
After

I’m wearing different trousers for these photos so it’s hard to tell but there is a little extra length now. It’s very light and floaty and so probably pretty comfortable, if I can get over my grudges and actually wear it…

The drape is better but skew-whiff across the hem (or perhaps I stand on a previously un-noticed angle?).

Before
After

The neckline is much better and not uncomfortable at all! That’s an unqualified success. It doesn’t need picked up or finished off, it’s fine just as it is.

Not only am I wearing different trousers but also I stood nearer the camera so this before and after doesn’t show the difference as much as I might like. But you can see it’s smoothed out and not all bumphled up across the bottom.

You can also see that I’ve coloured my hair since I wrote the last post.

This is a pattern that’s recommended for the yarn, which is Phildar Leo Concept. You can find it on Ravelry or download for free from happywool.com. It comes in a 230g ball, and I have 53g left, which I think is about 300 yards.

It recommends a 6mm needle which makes a nice enough fabric – somewhat sheer but not see-through. I’m not sure whether I’ll use or donate what’s left. I have small scraps of other mohair-style yarn that could maybe be combined into a stripey scarf? It’s under consideration.

Your bum still looks great! 😁

I like the floatiness of Celeste. Is the pattern on Ravelry?

      Hahaha thank you!

It *is* on Ravelry as it turns out, I’ll add a link to the post.

Well, that blocked out beautifully!! I’d say that is a winner! It looks good on you, and I like the neckline… it lays nicely as well!

Thank you! I like the neckline too, I was sure it was going to be uncomfortable but nope!

In my opinion the blocking did improve it quite a lot. It looks nice!

With the benefit of a bit of time away I can see that you are right and it did make a difference and, in fact, look nice!

Well I like it. Nice to wear on a Summer’s eve I would say. Love the hair.

Thank you! The weather is very variable here but I will try it when summer rolls around 😁
