I used the excess Drops Air from my Black Cat Sweater to make a donation scarf. Just the usual bias scarf pattern, with 6mm needles and 30 stitches. I think? It was a low-brain project, and my brain evidently decided that meant low-detail-retention too.

I weighed the yarn and had twice as much orange as black, so I made twice as many orange stripes. I recognise that this will not win me a Nobel prize for mathematics. I carried the yarn up the side to avoid sewing in ends.

I washed then froze the scarf (when it was mostly dry) in the hope of reducing the itch/shed factors, and now it’s on the donation pile in all its fuzzy, tigery glory.

A short post from a tired blogger, today!

I’ve added this post to the Unraveled Wednesday linkup, with thanks to Kat for hosting.

I am certain that this scarf will be welcome by some deserving person and that they will offer gratitude to the knitter who made it! Well done!

That’s the dream! Of course it’s getting warmer now but the scarf can be patient 😊

I love the tiger stripe idea for a scarf. Sure to be appreciated by someone.

I really like how it came out too – it was an accident that I had the right colours in the right proportions, but a happy accident 🙂
