We’ve come on holiday to a little house with a hot tub.

I’ve brought my knitting, but I haven’t added a single stitch to it. I thought I’d knit in the car but we had a singalong instead. Not that I can’t do both, but I really committed to the singing on this occasion. So I suppose Promenade is on holiday too? Sometimes you just have to take your knitting to a new location for a bit.

There’s been progress since last time though!

We’ve done board games, drinks in the hot tub, and films on the giant TV. It’s What’s Inside and The Wrath of Becky, if you’re into films. Not light, family viewing but we enjoyed them! We’ve also eaten many snacks, including a great cullen skink at the local pub.

There’s a brook flowing out the back of the house, right by the hot tub.  The sound of it is indescribably nice.

Lovely! (and even more so that you took your knitting for its own bit of a holiday as well!) Enjoy your time away!

Thanks Kat! Just home from a massive walk and looking forward to getting back in that hot tub to recover.

What a great holiday. AZUL!! We just discovered Summer Pavilion by Azul and are loving it. Looks like it’s a similar game as you put tiles on the center circles to draw from.

Yeah! We have this one (which is the original), summer pavilion, and stained glass of Sintra. I’d say the original is my favourite, it has lovely chunky square tiles 😊

Even knitting needs a holiday! I love the holday cottages I stay in and having a hot tub is weirdly wonderful. Hope you have a fabulous time.

Thank you! It’s a great novelty to have a soak at the end of the day.

That sounds like a wonderful holidays – very relaxing! True – knitting projects need to come along to enjoy the sights sometimes too :)

I think the knitting benefited from the rest…

I have taken knitting projects on more trips where they did nothing but enjoy the new scenery more often than I care to think about :)
