Part One | Part Two | Part Three

I can’t believe the difference since the last update! I really kept thinking it would be short and need strenuous, garter-flattening blocking, until I looked at it properly one day and realised it was now a big pile of knitting in my lap. Evidently my visualisation skills are lacking.
I have finally made it to the end of the stripes. It was a long haul but I focused hard on it, and (as always) it was done eventually. I have 7g of mint blue left, and no teal. I’m mildly puzzled but not upset – I put in three extra sets of stripes before running out, and running out was the goal. The 7g will go into the scrap jar and off the spreadsheet. For those following along, I’ve used over 2.5kg of yarn this year, but some new acquisitions mean I have a current stash of 3.3kg. Still less than I started the year with, so I’m still winning. Winning the game I made up, with no other players…

The first lace section of this wrap felt quick to make, and the second section is less than half the size. So I feel the end is very much in sight for this project, which is motivating! I’m looking forward to blocking the lace, then parcelling it up and sending to the recipient. And, naturally, to casting on something new…
As a reminder, this is the Lilli Pilli Wrap (Ravelry link) by Ambah O’Brien (Designerโs site).
I’ve added this post to the Unraveled Wednesday linkup, with thanks to Kat for hosting.
