I got a ball of yarn from the New Lanark mill! It’s my first time using it, despite having visited many times as a child. I didn’t understand about wool back then.

There’s 120 m of chunky yarn here. It remains to be seen what it will become.

What an incredible place! Thank you for sharing the link to it! (and that yarn looks so squishy!)

It’s nice, sturdy yarn… I think the right project will make itself known in time 😊

Cool texture – it will likely become something warm!

Warm and hard wearing, I think!

New Lanark Yarn is absolutely my favourite yarns. On my blog you will see I have knitted 5 jumpers with it, including one with the chunky. I have also made mittens, a tote bag (it felts really well). It softens a lot when the item is washed and is incredibly warm. I look forward to seeing what you make.

I thought of you when I got it! I’m tempted to try felting but I don’t have much of it so need to be thoughtful about what’s possible.

I thought of highlandheffalump as soon as I saw New Lanark too :)
