I had some red Feels Like Buttah in stash, and after the success of using this brand on the inside of my space hat, I went ahead and made another Musselburgh with it.

This time, I didn’t have another odd half skein to use up, so I chose some complementary colours where I had small amounts to finish (plus some pink from the skeins of many colours I bought earlier in the year).

It looks a bit lopsided! But it sits not too badly when it’s all folded inside itself.

I had two strawberry margheritas before writing this post and decided that I should model the hat in various iterations. So here you go.

Boozy? Me?

The red is lovely and soft, and I like the stripes! If I’d swapped the pink for orange, they’d have been like the series 18 Doctor Who scarf – this wasn’t intentional but was certainly on brand for me. I got through all the scraps and a good chunk of the pink, too, so that was a win.

All in all another nice project for the donation pile!

Lovely colours, I’ve seen this pattern but always wondered if the hat would be too warm with the double layers.

It’s very cosy – depends where you live and how cold your ears get, I suppose!

I love the Musselburgh. Both as a hat and for using up yarn. Love the two in one hat.
