I found a bag of peacock feathers from the Saga of the Peacock Blanket!

I don’t want to scrap them but they’re all different shapes and sizes, because I used the project to learn to crochet…

What on earth am I going to do with them?!

They are so cute! Iโ€™d be tempted to make a few more, then find a way to work them up into square to join to make a blanketโ€ฆ

Alas, the yarn is long gone! Also it took me so long to make the original blanket that I’m a bit scarred by it…

Could you crochet a set of placemats with 4 of the “feathers” in the middle or one in each corner?? They are so pretty.

Maybe! We don’t actually use place mats but perhaps someone else would.

They are too pretty to not use! Maybe they could become a blanket?

Alas, the first blanket was such a drawn out process that I wouldn’t want to do it again!

Are they big enough to be drinks coasters?

Some of them are – but I fear not sturdy enough. Maybe two sewn back to back?

Aw thank you. Maybe something I could frame would be the way forward?

That sent me searching for patterns and there are some ideas out there that might just work! I especially like this https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/767389698/crochet-pattern-patrick-the-peacock

I realised while thinking about it that, if I want, I can re-do the big ones to tighten them up and make them all more uniform.

      Hasn’t helped me decide though!
