During the long stretch of making Otter’s Wake, I took a pause to make yet another octopus.

Same pattern as the previous octopuses (I hear that’s the correct word) – the rainbow one, the giant one, and the pastel one. That pattern is Octavius the African Flower Octopusย (Ravelry link) byย LineandLoopsย (Etsy link).ย I used fingering weight cotton – Scheepjes Cotton 8 (Wool Warehouse link) – and I think a 2mm hook, plus some scrap black DK for eyes.

So far this one lives in the house with us, but I’m just waiting for the right recipient to make themselves known.

It is amazing to me what a bit of crochet can become and you make me wish I could crochet! (perhaps a skill I should learn!) I hope your weekend is going well!

I have every faith that you could learn but maybe you don’t need to add another hobby to the mix! ๐Ÿ˜

A quick Google would probably resolve the question but I haven’t got round to it ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™
