Today is my birthday!

I’ll leave you with some more zentangle style doodles I’ve been playing with.

I’ve wanted to be able to do 3D illusion drawing for ages but have never actually started trying. So some of these doodles have been a way to get going with learning about that. Others embrace random pen lines, which is good for helping me make peace with error and imperfection.

I’ve acquired a few bits for this hobby – four fine line pens (black, white, gold and silver) and some applicator bottles. Not much outlay – I already had tiny canvases and many felt pens, pencils, and paints.

I intend to try some art in the style of The Oblivious Mind next. Wish me luck!

      Thank you so much!

They’re very fun and absorbing to do. The Oblivious Mind is next level but I’m excited to try out some of their techniques 😊

Happy Birthday. I love this hobby. It exercises different muscles and thought patterns than knitting does.

Honestly it’s so little investment of time, worth having a shot if you’re even a little bit interested. Doodles that start with a random squiggle are particularly good – there’s no right or wrong you see

Thank you for this Cathy, I’m really touched.

The blogging just went right out of me for a few months. It’s been a bit of a funny time. But I do have projects (plural!) on the go.
