To be honest, no change since Sunday’s snapshot! I did put this project down and finish up my Leafy Mitts, put tassels on my Doctor Who scarf, and even had a go at a hat, but am woefully underprepared and have no photos of any of them.
The Who scarf is approximately a hundred feet long after stretching. It’s hilarious. I’ll show you next week.

I’m on a long train journey today, and circumstances dictated that it was a last minute trip. So I grabbed Wingspan because my goodness there’s plenty of knitting in it to keep me going. This also means that all today’s photos are taken on said train, which hasn’t been my favourite, but at least I got them done before someone sat down opposite me.

I’m using my own stitch markers again – I’ve made a new batch of beaded ones with rainbow hematite and new jump rings that feel a liiiiiittle too flimsy for the job. But I’m trying them out to see how they perform. The rainbows mark Action Points (that’s my term, not the pattern’s) where either I’ll do wrap and turns, or switch to the central linen stitch panel.

I also picked up a single skein of Malabrigo lace that I’ve had sitting around, and an assortment of needles and hooks, but I don’t have a pattern in mind. I don’t enjoy very traditional lace shawls – they’re works of art but they’re not really my jam. At any rate, you can never have too much yarn with you, right?

I’m going in to the final feathers section now – a series of 40 rows (most of them short rows) that’s repeated three times, followed by one partial repetition of 32 rows. The final stitch count (many of these rows have increases) is 651. So while it looks like there’s tons of yarn left, it’ll all get used up nicely.
I’ll also be accepting bets on how many stitch markers I lose to the train…
I’ve added this post to the Unraveled Wednesday linkup, with thanks to Kat for hosting.
