Sunday Snapshot: Flamingos in the Sun

We’ve been having gorgeous weather, and my pal seized the opportunity to get her flamingo blanket washed and dried in the sun.

I love this picture. Not only does it show the blanket but it shows that the blanket is not for display only – it gets used, it gets washed, it gets loved.

      To be fair any time I’m round my pal’s house, this blanket is over the chair. So she’s either very diligent about pretending or she actually loves it 😉

      I know, I do sometimes worry that I’ve handed someone a gift that’ll just live in a cupboard or a drawer forever. Not this time!

        I always tease people when I give them a handmade item: “Just pull it out of the back of the closet when I visit” – ha!
