A wee short post today about two wee jumpers.
The first is one I’m considering an adult version of for myself. It’s so cheerful! It’s in 100% cotton, Drops Paris to be precise. I have a soft spot for this yarn, even though I find working with cotton a bit tedious, as it was the first yarn I bought in any quantity. Plus it’s extremely affordable which is immediately endearing.

The pattern is Holly Rainbow Hoodie (free pattern on Ravelry) by Melody Blackburn (designer’s blog). It was the first time I’d made a hood, and the first time I learned to mattress stitch to join pieces together. I used some wooden toggles for fastenings cos I think they’re just the cutest.
The second is a Dancing T-Rex Sweater (Ravelry link) by Natalie V.

The contrast could have been more, well, contrasty, but I was pleased to be able to use up two skeins (and maybe two of the green?) that I’d been gifted over the years and never used. Its time had come! No idea what they were. I suspect I didn’t have enough of the colour changing yarn to do the dinos and that’s why they’re grey.
I feel like if I made this now, I’d do a better job of blocking it? I do recall ironing it and possibly even hitting the back of it with a wooden spoon (having googled blocking techniques). You can see where I’ve carried the floats behind the work – though they’re very even and kind of look like a pattern. I also had trouble with sewing in ends and you can see a big, weird lumpy bit in this photo.

But listen, it wasn’t designed to be viewed close up and sitting still like this. It was designed to be worn by an active kid! And apparently another kid’s dad liked the jumper so much that they had to come and congratulate my wee pal’s parent on its awesomeness. I’ll absolutely take that as a win.
